Sylvia Chow is a fashion designer based in San Francisco. She works as Designer for ThirdLove. She is creative and detail-driven, with 8+ years of experience developing collections across lingerie, activewear, wovens, cut & sew knits, sweaters, and accessories. She leads the full design process from concept through pre-production, with expertise in trend research, CAD illustration, fabric development, garment construction, and technical design. Skilled in creating tech packs, BOMs, and managing PLM systems, she ensures efficient and accurate product development. Sylvia also has extensive experience in licensed collections, producing apparel graphics, placement artwork, and all-over prints while maintaining compliance with licensor standards. Recognized for her collaborative approach with creative directors, merchandising, sourcing, and global vendors, she delivers cohesive, high-performing collections that balance creative vision with business goals.
Sylvia graduated from the Academy of Art University, where she obtained her M.F.A. in Fashion Design. She earned her B.A. from the University of California, San Diego, where she studied Visual Arts Media. Her undergraduate thesis show, BINARY, received the UCSD Theater and Dance Department Chair's Award for Distinguished Service.
An avid fan of sci-fi, fantasy, and history, she indulges her whimsical side through designing costumes for theatrical productions and creating cosplays for fan conventions. In her free time, she enjoys attending concerts, discovering new restaurants, and spoiling her pets.
